Hort Agro Solutions Agencies (HASA) is a Kenyan agricultural development organisation specialising in post-harvest technology, farmer training, and sustainable market development. We work directly alongside smallholder farmers — particularly women and youth — providing practical tools and knowledge that create lasting economic change.

Drying Technology

Our flagship tunnel solar driers have transformed post-harvest coffee and horticultural processing in central and eastern Kenya. Built with locally-sourced materials and designed for easy maintenance, they operate entirely on solar energy — zero fuel costs, zero emissions.

  • Reduces drying time from 28 days to 8–12 days
  • Maintains optimal humidity and temperature control
  • Mesh beds allow airflow, preventing mould and fermentation
  • Gravel floor ensures hygienic, pest-free environment
